S&J Asia-Pacific Ventures Pte. Ltd. (S&J) focuses on marketing, business development,  strategic management, venture capital, rollout, and business advisory services. Together with our international affiliates, we are able to exploit and leverage on collaborative relationships for our clientele.

We offer the highest quality of work in a highly personalized and confidential manner in the areas of consulting, venture capital, rollout, interim management and fiduciary services.

We also market a range of cleaning products from Sweden. These products are made of microfibre and are ergonomically and environmentally friendly and uses water as a detergent  instead of traditional harmful chemicals.

S&J has taken on an exclusive representation in the marketing of exquisite artifacts recovered from shipwrecks found in and around Malaysian waters, by an internationally acclaimed Swedish explorer.

Our People

P. Jeyaratnam,

Chairman & CEO    

Mr. Jeyaratnam graduated from Singapore University  in 1979 with a degree in Business Administration.

His strong sense of professional and personal integrity, as well as his ability to quickly grasp business opportunities has enabled him to grow S&J to its present position as a consulting firm with international affiliations of repute.

His international business experience stems from having held senior management positions in large private and public sector organizations in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, Burma, Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.

Presently based in Singapore, Mr. Jeyaratnam was with  the Electrolux Group for a period of ten years, where he was Marketing Director based in Singapore with postings into Malaysia, Germany and Sweden.  He eventually rose to become its first and youngest President of the Indian operations, a joint venture with India's leading conglomerate Tata.

Other positions held include being General Manager of Saresco Travellers Pte. Ltd for its duty free operations in Changi International Airport.

He served as General Manager of both Specialist Food Retailers Pte Ltd, a delicatessen chain and Time/System Singapore, a consulting training and time management company. He was also Marketing Manager of SM Motors (Volvo and Philips), initially in Singapore and later for their expansion into Vietnam, China and Myanmar. Further, he was involved in advertising and media in his capacity as Advertisement Manager of The Straits Times Press (SPH Group).

Mr. Jeyaratnam currently sits on the Board of Directors of Blöndal Sdn. Bhd., Orion Capital Singapore Pte. Ltd., Orion Capital Pty Ltd and S&J Asia-Pacific Ventures Pte. Ltd. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of AIESEC Singapore and Prima Consulting Group (USA), as well as a Steering Committee member of the Singapore Arts Festival. He is also closely associated and represents Result of Sweden and Ventana Capital of the USA.

Savithri V Chettiar,

Director/Business Advisory Services    

Ms. Chettiar heads the business advisory services of S&J. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), Associate of the Association of International Accountants (UK), and Provisional member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Singapore).

She started her accounting career with Ernst & Whinney, Malaysia (now known as Ernst & Young) in 1984 and in 1987 moved to join a UK listed company with interests in UK, Australia, Malaysia, India and Indonesia where she was responsible for accounting, tax, legal matters as well as interaction with the Stock Exchanges of London and Singapore. In 1996, due to family commitments, she took on a less demanding portfolio with an mezzanine investment and advisory services company. She has now assumed full-time responsibilities for the development of the business advisory division of S&J. 

Tati K. Freeke - Suwarganda,

 Associate    

Ms. Suwarganda is a graduate from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She has worked for NCM and McKinsey Amsterdam in the areas of corporate planning and mergers & acquisitions. She was later co-responsible for setting up the Dutch branch office of Result Venture Knowledge, which is a boutique consulting firm specializing in international roll-outs of companies.

She has been actively involved in several consulting and training projects for S&J and is presently based in Amsterdam, the city of her birth and education. Her Indonesian ancestry and European exposure contribute to her cross-cultural sensitivities and professional client servicing.

Gustav Bertilsson Uleberg,

Associate    

Mr. Bertilsson Uleberg holds a Master of International Business Administration from the School of Economics and Commercial Law at Göteborg University, Sweden.

He also studied at the following business schools in France: ESC Pau and ESSCA Angers. He is an Honorary Alumni at Northwood University, West Palm Beach, FL and has done courses in E-commerce and Globalisation at Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, MI.

Mr. Bertilsson Uleberg is extremely versatile in global IT outsourcing work and has been exposed to the international arena from his overseas postings with Tarang Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and SAP Labs India Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, India. He has undertaken several consulting and IT based projects for S&J. His truly international exposure allows him to interact with clients very naturally and understand the "cultural" issues.

He is currently based in Sweden.
